Journal of World Christianity

Seeking to explore inter-cultural,inter-confessional, and inter-religious dynamics of Christianity as a world religion.

In the fall of 2014 we began the process of transitioning the Journal of World Christianity to Penn State University Press, which will bring it out in hard copy as well as online. The silence experienced on the site as well as on our social media sites were due to the fact that we are now in full transition mode. That's the good news. The other news, however is that it will take all of 2015 to make the transition. During this time Penn State U Press has set up a new online submission site to begin taking submissions in preparation for the the first and subsequent prints in spring 2016.

If you would like to submit your article, review, etc., to the Journal, go to and create your author account to submit your proposal for the journal.

Thank you for your patience on the transition into Penn State University Press; we think is an excellent move. It will give the journal much more visibility, and academic credibility. But it is going to take time.

New Dimensions and Directions in African Christianity: Essays in Honor of Ogbu U. Kalu
We are all deeply saddened by the sudden departure of our teacher,  mentor,  and  friend,  Professor  Ogbu  Kalu.    The  essays in  this volume serve as our testimony to his many years of scholarship in Africa, Europe and America.  They are written by his former students and associates to commemorate his intellectual acumen and  recognize the importance of his scholarly influence on all of us.
