This essay focuses on how world Christianity has impacted upon theology as an attempt at understanding faith (theology as fides quaerens intellectum). I begi with the issue of sources or resources or “texts” for doing theology, especially in contrast to literary ones. Secondly, I will discuss the ways in which these texts are interpreted in the context of world Christianity. Finally, I will briefly reflect on the essential features of theology for world Christianity.
